Our Mission

Top Electric and Lighting is committed to carrying the legacy of some of Salem’s Illinois finest and most reputable electrical contractors. This heritage started back in the 1940s with Nip Koehling Electric to Livesay Electric Service and now TOP Electric and Lighting. Our company is licensed and insured. We are a growing companying providing commercial, industrial, residential, and tele / data electrical services, whole house generators, and solar installations.

Our electrical projects are maybe as simple as troubleshooting a receptacle to wiring a new house, trenching power to a new pole barn, spas, commercial projects, and preventative maintenance. Also, we had the opportunity to expand our business with the purchase of Mette’s Distinctive Lighting in Effingham, IL, and just opened a second lighting store at our Salem location. We have the availability to provide our customers with the finest lighting options, from chandeliers to sconce lights, vanity lights, shop lights, indoor and outdoor lighting solutions, and ceiling fans.
